Longtime President Leaves Legacy of Community Commitment and Leadership |
After an impressive 47-year tenure, Jerry Jacobson has retired as President of Northwestern Bank, effective December 31, 2025.
Jacobson's journey with the bank began in 1978, starting as an auditor and ascending through various roles to become President in 1998.
His leadership has been marked by a deep commitment to community banking and personal connections.
Reflecting on his career, Jacobson expressed gratitude for serving his hometown: "I was very, very fortunate to be able to live in my hometown and give back to the community."
Under his guidance, Northwestern Bank's assets grew from $152 million to $607 million, and net income increased from $2 million to $10.7 million.
Jacobson's influence extended beyond banking; he actively participated in numerous community organizations, including Blugold Beginnings and the Community Foundation of Chippewa County.
His dedication earned him the 2023 Banker of the Year award from the Wisconsin Bankers Association.
In his retirement, Jacobson plans to continue his community involvement, stating, "In a small community, one person can make a difference."
He will remain on the Northwestern Bank Board of Directors, ensuring his legacy of community commitment endures. |
