Chippewa Valley Regional Airport Marks One Year with United Airlines |
A Year of Growth and Connectivity for Eau Claire's Air Travel |
December 2025 marks the first anniversary of United Airlines resuming operations at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (CVRA), a partnership that has significantly enhanced air travel options for the Eau Claire community.
Since the reintroduction of United's daily flights to Chicago O'Hare International Airport in December 2024, the airport has experienced a notable increase in passenger traffic. This service, operated by SkyWest Airlines under the United Express brand, offers travelers seamless connections to numerous domestic and international destinations.
Airport Director Charity Zich expressed enthusiasm about the partnership's impact, stating, "The return of United Airlines has been instrumental in enhancing our region's connectivity, providing both our residents and visitors with more travel options."
In addition to United's daily service, CVRA has continued its collaboration with Sun Country Airlines, offering seasonal nonstop flights to Fort Myers, Florida. This service caters to the high demand for travel to warmer destinations during the winter months.
Looking ahead, the airport is exploring opportunities to expand its route offerings. Discussions are underway to introduce new destinations, aiming to further meet the travel needs of the Chippewa Valley community.
The successful partnerships with United and Sun Country Airlines underscore CVRA's commitment to providing diverse and convenient air travel options, contributing to the region's economic growth and connectivity. |
