Nestled on a picturesque ridge between the Chippewa and Eau Claire River Valleys, Bushel & A Peck Market in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, offers a quintessential autumn experience. With over 20,000 trees producing more than 30 apple varieties, this orchard is a haven for apple enthusiasts

Visitors can enjoy the pick-your-own apples activity, selecting from varieties like Honeycrisp, SweeTango, and Zestar. Each variety has its own ripening schedule, so planning your visit accordingly ensures the freshest picks.

The on-site Country Store is a treasure trove of unique items, carefully curated during the off-season to entice visitors. The Bakery takes pride in its made-from-scratch pies, with handmade crusts that have become a local favorite. Beyond pies, the bakery offers cookies, turnovers, and caramel apples, all crafted with care.

For educational experiences, Bushel & A Peck provides tours for preschool, school, and daycare groups from late August through early October. These tours include demonstrations of apple picking, the grading process, and a visit to the storage coolers. Each child gets to pick an apple to enjoy during the tour. A 3-acre corn maze adds to the adventure, making it an ideal outing for young learners.

Seasonal offerings extend beyond apples. The orchard also features currant and raspberry plantings, as well as a pumpkin patch, providing a variety of harvest activities throughout the season.

Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with Sunday hours from noon to 4 p.m. in the early season. Given the varying ripening times of apple varieties and the scheduling of tours, it's advisable to plan your visit to coincide with your preferred activities.

Whether you're strolling through the orchard selecting apples, savoring freshly baked goods, or exploring the corn maze, Bushel & A Peck Market offers a comprehensive, family-friendly experience that captures the essence of rural Wisconsin charm.
